Would members of your group be excited to spend a fun filled day learning about goldfish and their aquatic habitat? This is exactly what your group will be able to do if you tour our farm. Please review the information listed below and we hope to see you here soon!
When can we visit Ozark Fisheries?
The best days during the week are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Saturday’s are available if requested. This is a working fishery so tours must be arranged around our shipping schedule. During your tour, you will see all the fish we have in shipping to sell that day.
How many people can go on a tour at once?
We can accommodate all sizes of tours if arrangements are made in advance.
Do you sell fish year round, how many fish do you sell in a year and where do you ship to?
We harvest and ship year round. Ozark sells millions of fish a year in all sizes and types. We breed, raise and sell fancy goldfish, koi, butterfly koi, common goldfish, sarassa goldfish, shubunkins, rosy red minnows, tadpoles, crawfish and snails. We have developed some very uniquely marked select koi in both regular and butterfly. We ship nationwide and into Canada.
How long will the tour last?
Your tour will last approximately 1-1/2 to 2 hours. It will include:
- A stop at the Artesian Spring - where Ozark Fisheries began in 1926. This was originally an Indian campground and later a site for church revivals.
- Information about koi and goldfish spawning, production and shipping techniques.
- View koi, goldfish, snails, tadpoles and crayfish in their holding tanks.
- Visit our aquatic zoo that includes bullfrogs, crayfish, tadpoles, turtles, snails and fish which you will be able to touch and hold.
Group tours must be booked in advance. Office hours are Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Reservations must be made by teachers, administrators or group leaders only.
We want your day on the hatchery to be safe, educational and fun! You will experience all the real sights, sounds and smells of a working hatchery with many photo opportunities along the way!
If you would like to have a group photo, please let us know when you schedule your tour and we will make arrangements for photos at the beginning of the tour.
Ozark Fisheries is located 30-45 minutes south of Lake of the Ozarks, 2 hours northeast of Branson, 2-1/2 hours west of St. Louis and 1-1/2 hours northeast of Springfield, Missouri. To view a map and directions to the hatchery please click here.
